Welcome
If you're looking for a professional proofreading or copyediting
service, you understand how important it is that your document
be as clear and effective as possible. You know what a poor
impression mistakes in spelling, grammar, usage, and punctuation
can make on your readers. Even the best writers find it
difficult to catch all the errors in their writing, and very few
of them have the time or patience to ensure their texts conform
in every detail to publication style guides.
I have worked on and can accept a wide variety of
documents, from publicity brochures, to websites,
to academic papers and dissertations. I have a strong academic
background in the humanities, with a PhD
in musicology, and extensive experience with current
publication standards and style requirements. Some of the more specialized subject areas I'm familiar with include medieval music history, music theory, acoustics, and piano-related topics such as tuning and piano building. I also teach piano and am familiar with the full range of music education materials. I'm also building bibliographies for art photography monographs, found at fotobibliografica. There are currently lists for over forty photographers, with more to come. Sadly, my own photography hasn't resulted in a book yet, but some of it can be viewed online here.
The services page has more
information on my copyediting procedures, and the terms
page explains the fees and payment options. If you would like to
inquire about a project or submit a document for an estimate,
